March 2008

Things began to pick up this month. Gary started his boys soccer season and the team has a lot of potential!

One of our favorite annual events came... MARCH MADNESS! Every year, we fill out brackets for a little friendly spousal competition. We also do a fantasy pick online to see how well we can do against people we aren't married to! I was quite hopeful that my beloved Tarheels would win it all but alas it was not so. Gary's Washington State Cougars had a great run but came up short too. He was so sure they would beat UNC that he taunted me by dressing Molly in Coug gear. I chose not to deck her out in Tarheel blue after they stomped Wazzu but take every chance I get to rub it in!

Easter came early this year wrapping up March for us. We chose to do some things differently this year to reinforce the REAL meaning behind Easter (No, it's not about eggs and bunnies and jelly beans). We had a Passover style Last Supper with some families from our church and did activities all week long to focus our hearts on Jesus. When Easter came there were still eggs and candy and pretty dresses but everyone new why we were celebrating.
