A Dream Come True

We are back from our vaca and all I can say is Disneyland is magical. We were so overwhelmed when we arrived our heads were literally spinning. Let's go here! No there! No over here! Thankfully we met up on our second day (first full day) with some friends who were veterans of the park. They took us on all their favorite rides and shows. We pushed ourselves through large parts of Disneyland and California Adventures.
Molly met Jessie and was absolutely over the moon!

Gary also got to meet Goofy...or his long lost twin as we like to joke.

We hit the iconic rides like Dumbo, Space Mountain (which I'll never do again, thank you) and California Screamin' (I sat that one out)...we visited the Tiki Room and stayed up late to watch the fireworks over Sleeping Beauty's castle. On day three, we finished up California Adventures and experienced my favorite part of the whole trip - the Aladdin show. Totally amazing.

Day 4 we hit most of the rest of Disneyland and also hit the preverbial wall. At 4 p.m., we went back to our room where I crashed. I woke up to try to eat and then went right back to bed.  Apparently, one can not go from sun up to well after sun down for four straight days without some repercussion.

For our final day, we were all up early and in the park at 7 a.m. We hit the last of the rides and met the princesses. Molly's eyes were so wide with amazement when she saw Belle, her first princess - it was adorable. The way they spent time with each child was so special.  I'm really glad I put this trip on my list and I'm even more glad I didn't hesitate to go through with it.
