Maggie was too cute, serving as the flower girl while Gary was a groomsman. As Maggie reached the front she let go of the ring bearer's hand and mouthed "Yuck!"...even though he is a very good friend of hers and like a brother! Maggie also had a very special moment when she got to dance with the groom. He is very special to her and it was nice for her to have that memory. She loves his bride too... especially now that she knows she is the singer in her own band. That scored huge points with my future pop star!
In January, Gary started planning a hike on the Wonderland Trail. This trail makes a loop around Mt. Rainier and is nearly 100 miles long. The original team that started out slowly dropped out until Gary was the only adult left. He took our friends' 11 year old son along and was supposed to meet the boy's dad midway through
but injury kept dad from reaching them. They decided to cut the trip short but hope to make it an annual tradition.And no, you did not misread that sentence, my friend and I won a dance contest at our women's retreat. We reproduced the You Tube favorite "The Evolution of Dance" and the workout...uh, I mean routine garnered us first prize!!
