Maggie's birthday was a lot of fun this year. A new resort with a huge water park opened up this summer and we decided to skip the big party (even though her little party turned into a bigger party than planned) and go there instead. It was a BLAST! Molly told the other kids to get out of her water and Maggie demonstrated NO FEAR, going on all the slides they had many times! Dad had a lot of fun too. The room we stayed in had a cool cabin for the kids and there was tons for them to do. The only down side was the fire alarm that went off around midnight - thankfully there was no fire, just a humidifier in one of the rooms.Maggie had a very eventful year...she learned to swim and learned to ride her bike too. She got a guitar from her family in Colorado and she is fast becoming a budding musician. She takes poems and turns them into songs. My current favorite is "Peter, Peter, the Pumpkin Eater" - yes, the nursery rhyme. She set it to music and I'm sure it is the first of many masterpieces to come!!
